Casino floors

From reels to the casino

The opening story leads to the reels, which provide your first equipment. Enter Casino Floor 1, find the stairs and escape. Then reel rewards and ten Pit Boss battles lead to the next casino floor. Bring the equipment you earned into the next exploration. Fifteen casino floors and 150 Pit Boss chambers complete the descent, with a new story beat at each casino entrance.

Choose your descent rules

Before starting, choose DIFFICULTY & HOUSE RULES in Options or DESCENT RULES during the prologue. Enemy vitality and damage adjustments apply to casino floors and Pit Bosses. Your choice stays fixed for that descent; changing the preference later affects your next run. Completing the vault unlocks optional House Rules for later descents.

Move, collect, survive

Move with WASD, the arrow keys or the controller's left stick. Your equipment attacks automatically. Gold coins fund the reels; bright XP gems earn temporary house favors. A gem can share a drop with a coin. Your vitality and rechargeable shield are at the upper right, goals and favors at the upper left, and equipped attacks across the top.

Find your way down

M or controller Back opens the explored map. E or controller A interacts with nearby caches and stairs. The Way Down favor reveals a pulsing purple route through walkable space. At the stairs, interact to start a 12-second pursuit, survive until they open, then interact again to escape. Escape or controller Start pauses. HOW TO PLAY is available from the casino pause menu.

Read the room

Slot machines, roulette, blackjack and poker occupy separate, widely spaced departments. Open halls give you space to evade crowds. Look for the entrance lounge, rear cashier and ruined crossing to orient yourself. Furniture and walls block movement; bridges cross collapsed floors. Shots pass over open pits, but solid walls stop them.

Casino equipment

Piercing blades

Fast blades pierce up to three foes in a narrow line.

Sweeping steel

A broad, short-range swing hits every foe within its arc.

Ricocheting coins

A coin seeks up to two additional foes after its first hit; each bounce deals less damage.

Orbiting pages

Two spectral pages circle you briefly, damaging nearby foes with a shared hit cooldown.

Shield shove

Armor periodically pushes nearby foes away. Extra armor strengthens your shield, not the number of shoves.

Relic pulse

A close-range burst damages foes around you; solid walls block its reach.

Aimed bolts

Fast aimed shots focus the nearest visible foe.

Your reel equipment sets your build

Weapons attack automatically. Ledgers create orbiting pages; coin and chip families launch ricochets. Most armor adds a rechargeable shield and a periodic shove. Charms improve movement and cooldowns; supplies slowly restore vitality after you avoid damage. Item rarity and level help, with limits on stacking. Hover equipped icons for each attack's role. If your equipment has no damaging attack, Last Coin keeps you able to fight.

Casino house favors

Choose one of three

Collect XP gems to gain local casino ranks and choose a house favor. Chests also offer a choice. Combat, movement and buff timers pause while you choose. Repeating a timed favor refreshes its duration without increasing its strength. Bank Shot, Second Sweep and Opening a Line replace one another; only one attack-pattern favor can be active. Pattern choices only appear when your equipped attacks can use them.

BANK SHOT

Blades and bolts ricochet; coins gain one bounce · 60 seconds. Replaces your other attack-pattern favor.

SECOND SWEEP

Sweeping weapons follow with a 70%-damage swing · 90 seconds. Replaces your other attack-pattern favor.

OPENING A LINE

Blades and bolts pierce two extra foes, up to four · 60 seconds. Replaces your other attack-pattern favor.

FLEET FEET

+35% movement speed · 60 seconds

DOUBLE TROUBLE

Double all weapon damage · 2 minutes

QUICK DRAW

25% shorter attack cooldowns · 45 seconds

HOUSE PROTECTION

Take 50% less damage · 30 seconds

CHIP MAGNET

Attract distant coins and XP · 30 seconds

THE WAY DOWN

Reveal the stairs and a walkable route · this floor

SECOND WIND

Restore all missing vitality · instant

Casino encounters & rewards

The house has a rhythm

An opening wave gives way to gathering crowds, a house rush and a quieter collection interval. Watch the phase beneath your XP bar. Swarms close in, flankers intercept, bruisers hold ground and shooters keep their distance. New enemies arrive beyond the camera; keep an escape lane open. Two roaming elites arrive during a longer visit and drop a favor chest when defeated.

Optional wagers on the floor

A cursed jackpot asks you to stay nearby for 25 seconds; leaving its area pauses progress. A vault guard protects another favor chest. Both are optional. A buffet restores 30 vitality once. Fragile furnishings break under automatic attacks and release limited loot. Small healing pickups restore 8 vitality; magnets gather reachable drops for 8 seconds.

What returns to the Pit Bosses

Escaping opens a floor summary showing collected coins, the wallet total before and after, campaign XP, time, defeated enemies, explored area and carried vitality. Rewards are added before you choose Continue to the Reels. Closing here restores the same summary without paying twice. Every casino favor ends on leaving the floor. Favors never change item level, rarity or Pit Boss effects. Local casino rank resets on the next floor; campaign XP advances your persistent Wagerer level.

Rewards have limits

Each floor has a limited coin purse and campaign XP allowance. In new casino campaigns, one quarter of the following ten Pit Boss fights' base XP is allocated to exploration; 100 collected gems fill that floor's allowance. Further gems can still earn local favors up to rank 13. Chests can offer favors after that. Returning to title restarts an unfinished floor from its saved entrance; unbanked rewards and temporary favors are lost.
